SugaShane (Shane Haisten) is an Arizona hip-hop artist with an avid admiration of the unorthodox and non-ordinary. He got his nickname from the MLB team Arizona Diamondbacks, after winning a chance to participate in baseball spring training at 8 years old. SugaShane was born in Big Bear, CA and moved to the small town of Payson, AZ at 6 years old. His upbringing was tumultuous as heavy drug-abuse was constant, and by 15 was his own guardian. Music was the only religion in his family and was always held in the highest regards to him, with major influences consisting of Eminem, 50 Cent, Slipknot, Johnny Cash, Metallica, The Misfits, and Type O Negative. SugaShane started out in a band and performing live shows at the age of 14, and by 17 started producing and writing hip-hop. He had moved back and forth from Phoenix to Payson after high school, eventually settling in Mesa, AZ. After the death of a best-friend he vowed to fulfill both of their dreams with a career in music. SugaShane now has been through more than half of the country and to the United Kingdom thanks to music, and dropped his first project "Goetia" in 2021. His goals at the least are to always push his label-mates in 867 Entertainment and to help evolve the music scene of Arizona. "I wear the black for the poor and beaten down, livin' in the hopeless, hungry side of town. I wear it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime, but it is there because he's a victim of the times". - Johnny Cash.
